Eme's a Big Sister : Welcome Home Lauryn

My best friend Sarah has a new addition to the family, welcome Lauryn Elizabeth! Yes, this means my Godchild Emersyn is a big sister and from what I hear, she's doing her sisterly duties to the fullest!!

Welcoming Lauryn Elizabeth

My best friend Sarah (and her husband Barry) just had her second child on Saturday, May 9th. Lauryn Elizabeth was born at 8:21PM weighing in at 7lbs 14 ounces and 20 inches long. This makes Emersyn Grace a big sister!

I am so happy for the family and am very impressed with how at ease Sarah is with the newborn. Second time around looks much easier!

Happy 2nd Birthday Emersyn Grace

Quickest Blog ever, since I'm off to a wedding after this. I couldn't help myself, I needed to post this cute family picture of some of my favorite people.

My God Child and best friend's daughter Emersyn Grace's second birthday was May 16. This past Monday, we celebrated the big day. I've only looked at this one pic, and had to post, I think it's sooo cute!

E-M-E spells Eme!!

Last night John and I had the pleasure to watch Eme, my almost two year old Godchild, for the first time ever! Sarah and Barry (and family) had a wedding to attend, and since I had the night off, I had the opportunity to play for a change.

Eme, John, and I accomplished  a lot in a small amount of time; we made tons of bubbles, played with Play Doh, had some chicken nuggets, played on Eme's swingset, and watched Sarah and Barry's wedding video.

Little Miss Emersyn

I haven't had any pictures of my Godchild in a while, I'm long overdue. I've just been a bad Eme-Blogger, bad God-Mommy blogger.

Emersyn is now 14.5 months old now. If you ask her how old she is, she'll hold up one finger. She also can point out her nose, eye, mouth, ear, and belly button. She's so cute, and smart!! Emersyn is enjoying her summer of with her Mom Sarah who's a teacher. Emersyn is a busy girl with her swimming lessons, her new swing set, playing with dogs, and dancing. 

Sarah and Emersyn stopped by one Saturday morning, and I just couldn't resist taking pictures. Here are a few of my favorite pics in a slideshow. Enjoy!

Emersyn Grace's Christening

Emersyn Grace's first big event was held this past Sunday, October 21st at Saint Matthew's Church in Bristol, Connecticut. Emersyn is my best friend Sarah and her husband Barry's child, and she is my Godchild (or as I like to say God Baby).

I met Sarah in kindergarden at John J. Jennings School, twenty something years later I couldn't imagine my life without her and her wonderful family. They have been there every step of the way for me, and I can not thank them enough.

Thanks to my wonderfully talented Mother, Mary Lou, we all have pictures. Thanks Mom!

Happy 40th Mom and Dad!!

My parents were married 40 years ago today, June 24, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Church in Bristol, pictures at Page Park, and the reception was at Union Hall on Park Street in Bristol. At the time, the hall cost fifty dollars. From what I know of the event, my father hated having his picture taken (still true to this day), my mom loved having her picture taken (still true to this day), and the band sent a replacement because they booked a "better" gig.

Three dogs, two children (I have an older sister, Alison--Ali for short), one apartment, and two homes later, my parents are still happily married.
