John (my boyfriend) is having just a fantastic week. Wednesday he is on Channel Eight News, for a very good cause, and Thursday he became an uncle to a beautiful baby boy, Rosario James.
John is the PGA Golf Pro at Minnechaug Golf Course, a nine hole course in Glastonbury, Connecticut. This is his third season there, and I'm really proud of him. He's a great teacher, if any one wants to learn how to play golf, John's your guy. He's very patient, enthusiastic, professional, funny when appropriate, and overall a great teacher--I should know I took a few lessons from him and I'm a fussy gal!! This past Wednesday, Channel Eight had him teach a lesson to an adoptable child, Justin, video clip below. I love this clip, my favorite line is about a hot dog (watch to find out, it made me literally laugh out loud).
One more thing about Minnechaug, there is a fabulous pizza restaurant in the same building, Gina's. Seriously, Xavier the cook knows how to cook, and the gelato is killer too.
Onto baby news! Katie and Steven were married this past December, and they just added to the family yesterday! Rosario James was born August 20, 2009 at nine pounds, two ounces--and the doctor said he was going to be small! Rosario James is named after John and Steven's father, Rosario. James is Katie's father's name. It's an Italian tradition to name the first born child after the father's father.
John and I got to visit last night, what a cute baby Rosario is. Here are a few pictures of the doll!
Congratulations to the new parents, Katie and Steven!
Katie and Steven were married this past Saturday, December 27, 2008--if you've been following the blog, I'm sure you all are already aware of this news.
I just finished putting together a slideshow for the newly weds. Congrats Katie and Steven!

I personally can not wait to process Katie and Steven's wedding day images for them! This morning John heard Steven say, "I can't wait to see the pictures." So, I thought I'd share a couple pictures from last night. More to come in the future. Enjoy!
I haven't written in a while, a long while, I am due for some blogging.
It's the day before Katie and Steven's wedding, and I am getting all of my stuff together - camera gear in check and charged up, lists of pictures ready to go, nails polished, I set up time tomorrow for my hair appointment for 9:30 in the morning, dresses ready (I've got two dresses--one I think I can photograph in and one to look cute in which I wore at my friend Shannon's wedding), and my bags are packed.
Now that the snow is almost gone, I thought I would share a couple pictures with you that I took when it was fresh and pretty. Here are two of my favorites. Enjoy!
Because I have a creative mind that just won't shut off, I've already searched the internet some wedding ideas for fun. There is a lot of information out there! I've listed some I found that look promising, does anyone out there have any other resources that they love? Please feel free to share, I love creative ideas!!
Here are a few images of Katie and Steven at Heritage, and below there are a few grab shots of the facility itself. The first room is where the reception will be held, then there is the after hours spot, followed by the two possible ceremony locations.
