Monica & Matt's Thank You Notes

I just checked today's mail and was so excited to see a Thank You note from Monica and Matt. I really appreciate the time taken to hand write me a lovely note, and I'm really thrilled is that it is the Thank You note card that I designed. The cards were originally shipped directly to them (so I never got a chance to see it printed). 

Thank you notes with your wedding day images is such a great way to share your gratitude (and pictures) with your guests. AND I also think it's a guaranteed way for them not to throw out the card after opening and reading.

Here is the thank you note, front and back. The wording on the back (Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much) was used throughout some of Matt and Monica's other printed wedding pieces, and we thought it was a great way to tie it all together.

Kind Words from Christina & Dave

I recently got a nice little email note from one of my November 2008 brides, Christina, and just had to share (it made my day!).

"I just wanted to let you know how much we love the album!  I know we saw it a million times online, but to have it in person makes such a difference!  My whole family loved it!  They were amazed with how the album was like a book (not like the old albums where the pictures were behind plastic and you could remove the pictures! Haha).  You really captured all of the important moments!  I think I've looked through it atleast a dozen times already!  Just wanted to say thank you again for taking such great shots and for putting together such a beautiful memory!!"  --Christina

I always say, it's a totally different experience seeing the prints in person versus online. First of all, your computer screen is most likely not calibrated; your images might look too light or too dark or maybe lacking contrast. To see your wedding photos printed properly, in a story, and to be able to physically flip though the pages is just such a wonderful feeling! It can not be replaced by a slideshow or an online gallery, it is something to hold onto as a family heirloom.

Kind words from Carolyn and Rob

Today I kind a really lovely email from one of my June 2009 brides, it totally made my day---just have to share!!!

"Dear Alissa, I'm sure you hear this from every single bride you photograph, but THANK YOU for these beautiful wedding photographs! We just got back from the honeymoon (and back to work) and I haven't had a chance to  look at each one, and am seriously counting the minutes until I can go home and look through them in a "real" way. As someone who is completely un-photogenic, you somehow managed to make me look pretty in every photo I've looked at :)

Also, we enjoyed working with you and Jeff so much-- you were both so relaxed, which really put us at ease!"  --Carolyn

As a side note, Carolyn is photogenic and Carolyn and Rob were an absolute pleasure to work with. Jeff and I had a fabulous time at their wedding.

I recently met up with Beth to present her with her wedding album from her December 15, 2007 wedding, and she wrote Jeff and I a wonderful thank you note that I had to share.

Kind Words from Amber & Justin

Amber and Justin were married December 1, 2007 in Litchfield County. This past week Justin picked up their album, The Coffee Table Book. He dropped off the most awesome gifts -- kind words AND a photo tee shirt. They both mean so much to me, words can not even express. I love what I do, and it's great to know that people enjoy and appreciate it too.

I also have to mention that the gift bag and the card were all pink, super cute, love it, love it!! So I took pictures of those too to share.

The note card that they wrote before seeing the albums read:
"Alissa, Thank you so much for capturing our wedding day exactly how we wanted it. We can't wait to see the albums & give them to our parents! Than you so much! With Love, Amber & Justin"

The email after seeing the albums:

Kind Words from Erin & Scott

Erin and Scott were married this past September in Cape Cod. They just received their album a couple nights ago, and sent me a lovely email that I thought I'd share. I love what Erin wrote, it is so true. Weddings are planned months in advance, but go by in a moment. The day is remembered through stories and images, which will last a lifetime. Read below to see what she wrote.

Alissa,
We received our wedding album last night and it looks beautiful. You did an unbelievable job, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much for everything, these pictures mean so much to me. In the end it seems like the photos are all you have left. It's amazing to think its all over and gone, but I wouldn't have changed anything. I can't tell you how many compliments we've gotten from friends and family on your pictures, they truly are amazing.
